Shroom Into Action
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
This is a game made in 1 week for the Blackthornprod Game Jam 2021.
My main focus was to build an interactive tutorial and introduction to the game, instead of a wall of text with controls, and to have a much nicer UI as opposed to a black background with white buttons.
Basic Controls:
Move left: A or Left Arrow
Move Right: D or Right Arrow
Jump: Space
Continue with dialog: Space
Quit to main menu: Q
For the most part you can follow the lighting as it will suggest where you should go. There are also some arrows to help out as well.

Install instructions
Windows:
Download .zip file and open in file explorer. Right click and Extract All. Enter the folder and double click the Shroom Into Action application file (the one with the mushroom)
Mac:
Download .zip file and unzip. Double click the ShroomIntoAction.app file (the one with the mushroom).
If mac gives a warning and does not allow you to open (macs are overly sensitive!) then open your system preferences and open the Security & Privacy window. Under the General tab, click open anyway. This will prompt you for confirmation, and then you will be able to run the game.
